Ph.D. Mathematical Statistics
Janice Callahan
Janice Callahan obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from Johns Hopkins University and formed Callahan Associates Inc. (CAI) in 1982. Operating under a SAS® software license, her services include ANOVAs, linear and non-linear regression, categorical data analyses such as log-linear models and logistic regression, discriminant analysis, big-data analyses, and time series analysis. Dr. Callahan has provided statistical support to an array of clients including those involved in development of biopharmaceuticals. She has performed pre-clinical study design and analysis, clinical trial design and analysis, bioassay design, development and validation, and quality control support (e.g. specification development, OOS investigations, and stability study design and analysis). She was a United States Pharmacopeia (USP) ad hoc advisory panel member for general chapters covering design and validation of bioassays. She also developed the maximum likelihood estimation method used to establish the label titer for the human adenovirus 5 deposited reference standard deposited as ATCC® VR-1516™.
